Master Recipe for Dinner Rolls
Why This Recipe Works
Dinner rolls are often too sweet or too rich to eat with a meal. So for our dinner roll recipe we kept the sugar to a minimum, just enough to impart a pleasantly sweet flavor that supported and enhanced the flavor of the wheat. We also made the dough for our dinner roll recipe with water rather than milk for ease of handling and to prevent unnecessary richness. And we used a short, high-temperature bake to encourage tenderness in the final product.
