Ingredients: 1 cup, maple syrup, preferably dark amber; 1 cup, heavy cream; 1 teaspoon, table salt, divided; 1 1/4 cups (6¼ ounces/177 grams), all-purpose flour; 3 tablespoons, sugar; 1 1/2 teaspoons, baking powder; 2/3 cup, milk; 2 , large eggs; 1/2 teaspoon, vanilla extract; 6 tablespoons, unsalted butter, melted
