Turning White Sugar into Brown

White sugar combined with molasses is an excellent substitute for brown sugar.

Pulse the two in a food processor or simply add the proper amount of molasses along with the other wet ingredients.

1 cup granulated sugar + 1 tablespoon molasses = 1 cup light brown sugar

1 cup granulated sugar + 2 tablespoons molasses = 1 cup dark brown sugar
