Sausage and Fennel Stuffing

Ingredients: 1 1/2 pounds, white sandwich bread, cut into 1/2-inch cubes (about 12 cups); 1 teaspoon, vegetable oil; 1/2 pound, bulk pork sausage; 4 tablespoons, unsalted butter, plus extra for baking dish; 1 medium, onion, chopped fine (about 1 cup); 1 , fennel bulb, halved, cored, and chopped fine (about 1 cup); 4 teaspoon, Kosher salt; 1 teaspoon, black pepper; 1 tablespoon, minced fresh thyme leaves; 1 tablespoon, minced fresh marjoram leaves; 2 tablespoons, minced fresh sage leaves; 1 1/2 cups, low-sodium chicken broth; 3 large, eggs
