Name: Banana Cream Pie
Ingredients: 1 1/4 cups, unbleached all-purpose flour; 1/2 teaspoon, table salt; 1 tablespoon, granulated sugar; 6 tablespoons, unsalted butter, chilled, cut into 1/4-inch pieces; 4 tablespoons, vegetable shortening, chilled; 3–4 tablespoons, ice water; 1/2 cup, graham cracker crumbs; 1/2 cup, granulated sugar, plus 2 tablespoons; 1/4 cup, cornstarch; 1/8 teaspoon, table salt; 5 , large egg yolks, lightly beaten; 2 cups, milk, whole or 2 percent; 1/2 cup, evaporated milk; 1/2 , vanilla bean, about 3-inches long, split lengthwise; 2 tablespoons, unsalted butter; 1 teaspoon, brandy or more to taste; 2 , medium bananas; 1 cup, heavy cream; 2 tablespoons, confectioners' sugar; 1/2 teaspoon, vanilla extract
