Ingredients: 2 sticks, unsalted butter (1/2 pound), softened but still firm; 1 cup, light brown sugar; 1 cup, granulated sugar; 2 , eggs; 1 1/2 cups, unbleached all-purpose flour; 1/2 teaspoon, table salt; 1/2 teaspoon, baking powder; 3/4 teaspoon, ground ginger; 1/4 teaspoon, fresh ground nutmeg; 3 cups, rolled oats
