Crumb Pie Crust Done Right

Making a crumb crust is a cinch compared with working with pie pastry, but unless you pack the crust properly, you risk crumbling edges during baking and slicing.

Our method ensures a tight, clean edge and works for all types of crumbs: graham cracker, animal cracker, Oreo, etc.

Using the bottom and sides of a measuring cup, press the crumb mixture firmly and evenly across the bottom of the pie plate. Then pack the crumbs against the side of the pie plate, using your thumb and the measuring cup simultaneously.
