See why.Mango Splitter
Removing the flesh from a mango in tidy pieces can challenge even a seasoned pro's knife skills.

What You Need To Know
When we came across this mango splitter, we gave it a whirl. Similar to an apple corer—it's pressed down onto the fruit like a two-handed (ultra-sharp) cookie cutter—this gadget has a central hole shaped to match the narrow contours of a mango pit. At first, we had a terrible time balancing the mango for the initial cut, but once we trimmed the bottom flat, the splitter plunged through the fruit easily and cleanly. Try as we might, we couldn't round up a mango too small or large, and the mango splitter never left extra fruit on the pit by overestimating the pit's size. This is one of those rare kitchen gadgets that works.
