Can any of these brushes outscrub our trusty scouring pad?

Overview:

Soap-filled dish brushes eliminate the need to keep grabbing the soap bottle. We tested three that use replaceable nylon bristles. One fits in your palm; the two others were attached to a handle. All dispensed soap easily, but one brush soon began to leak. Widely spaced bristles on all models removed most of the oatmeal encrusted in a pot but struggled to clean away cooked-on strawberry jam. Our winner scrubbed best, thanks to a built-in scraper, plus its handle kept our hands dry. Still, for heavy-duty jobs, we’ll reach for a scouring pad.

OXO Steel Soap Squirting Dish Brush

A built-in scraper, which could tackle stubborn bits of oatmeal and cooked-on jam that its bristles missed, put this scrubber ahead of competitors. A long handle helped keep our hands dry, especially when washing deeper pots, and a soft rubber button made dispensing soap easy.

OXO Steel Soap Squirting Palm Brush

Squirting soap was easy, thanks to a soft rubber button, and the brush fit comfortably in the palm of our hands. However, its nylon bristles couldn’t scrub away bits of oatmeal trapped in the curves of the bottom of the pot, and it fell short with cooked-on strawberry jam.

    Casabella Loop Dispensing Brush

This scrubber had a loop-shaped handle that made it handy for holding and hanging and a soft rubber button for easy soap dispensing. Its soft bristles were firm enough to remove most food residue. However, after a few uses, the plastic stopper that controls the flow of soap became loose and leaked soap all over the counter.
